The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently celebrating the victory of senator Biodun Olujimi representing Ekiti South in the Nigerian senate. The senator challenged the declaration of Prince Dayo Adeyeye as the winner of the election for Ekiti South senatorial district.
Prince Dayo Adeyeye was the former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party who then contested for the PDP governorship primary but lost to Olusola Eleka who was Fayose’s anointed candidate.
Adeyeye then decamped to the All Progressives Congress and the new party the APC, won the governorship election and Adeyeye was also elected senator as declared by INEC.
He initially lost at the tribunal and now the Appeal court has finally nullified his election and declared the PDP candidate who also contested the governorship primary as the senator-elect for Ekiti south.
